Effective Minor Commenting

“Minor” comments are essentially just regular comments - written using normal sentence capitalization. The name “minor” isn’t to diminish their importance but rather to contrast them with “MAJOR” comments.

The tips listed below are pretty general, but there are many more specific things worth documenting in minor comments covered in the section on commenting for maintenance programmers.
